Living up to its name: a brand-new tulip with enormous peony-like double blooms in intense 'Ferrari red' — and at around 70 cm one of the tallest double tulips there is. An exclusive cut flower: three stems in a tall vase make a statement. Flowers late April into May; plant 12 cm deep, 10 cm apart, in full sun, mid-border where it can tower.

Plant the bulbs in autumn (September–November) before the frost arrives. Set them pointy end up in well-drained soil — as a rule of thumb 2-3 times the bulb's height deep. Water after planting, then let nature do the rest. After flowering, let the foliage die down completely before removing it so the bulb can recharge for next year.
