The golden-yellow sport of the world-famous 'Apeldoorn': radiant sunshine-yellow blooms with a striking black base on sturdy 50 cm stems, flowering in April. A true Darwin hybrid that naturalises — plant 15 cm deep in full sun and it returns in ever bigger drifts. Classic companion to red 'Apeldoorn'.

Plant the bulbs in autumn (September–November) before the frost arrives. Set them pointy end up in well-drained soil — as a rule of thumb 2-3 times the bulb's height deep. Water after planting, then let nature do the rest. After flowering, let the foliage die down completely before removing it so the bulb can recharge for next year.
