The best of two worlds: the layered fullness of a double tulip and the fine serrated edges of a fringed one, all in fresh lemon yellow. Late flowering in May on 50 cm stems, stretching the tulip season until the perennials take over. An exclusive cut flower — a few stems fill a vase. Plant 12 cm deep in full sun.

Plant the bulbs in autumn (September–November) before the frost arrives. Set them pointy end up in well-drained soil — as a rule of thumb 2-3 times the bulb's height deep. Water after planting, then let nature do the rest. After flowering, let the foliage die down completely before removing it so the bulb can recharge for next year.
