A festive fringed tulip: warm red with finely fringed white edges that look like lace against the light. Exceptionally long-flowering from late April into May on 50 cm stems. Excellent in pots, borders and the vase. Plant 12 cm deep, 10 cm apart, in full sun and well-drained soil.

Plant the bulbs in autumn (September–November) before the frost arrives. Set them pointy end up in well-drained soil — as a rule of thumb 2-3 times the bulb's height deep. Water after planting, then let nature do the rest. After flowering, let the foliage die down completely before removing it so the bulb can recharge for next year.
