Blurring the line between tulip and peony: densely double creamy-yellow blooms, their edges traced with subtle raspberry-red dots and lines like brushstrokes on silk. A late variety closing the season in May; sturdy 35 cm stems hold the heavy flowers through wind and rain. Outstanding cut flower — a peony in the vase, weeks early. Plant 12 cm deep in full sun.
Plant the bulbs in autumn (September–November) before the frost arrives. Set them pointy end up in well-drained soil — as a rule of thumb 2-3 times the bulb's height deep. Water after planting, then let nature do the rest. After flowering, let the foliage die down completely before removing it so the bulb can recharge for next year.
